Ward & Probst, Inc. was founded when two independent service businesses merged in 1992.

Elizabeth Ward Piano Service, located in Alexandria, LA, started in 1975, when Elizabeth returned from Grayson County College after completing her Associate Degree in Piano Technology. Her primary client, initially, was Kelly Ward's Piano & Organ store.

Dale's Piano & Organ Service had started in 1980 in Wichita Falls, TX. Dale established the business with the help of Jimmy Gold, RPT, Sam Gibbs Music and the Texoma Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild.

Elizabeth and Dale began working together in 1990, after the Piano Technicians Guild Convention in Dallas, TX. Elizabeth relocated to Wichita Falls in 1991, while still retaining a faithful clientele in Alexandria that she continues to service. Elizabeth specializes in tuning, field repair, voicing and regulating. Dale devotes more time to vintage keyboard restoration and rebuilding in the shop. He continues to field service player pianos, electronic and reed organs in the Texoma community and even sneaks out and tunes pianos on occasion!
